Supported accommodation for young adults on Brown Field site in Gorseinon, Swansea.

The brief was to design a safe, supportive and homely environment specifically for Swansea’s Young Single Homeless people to grow and develop.

The role of landscaped courtyards was pivotal to providing tranquil outdoor space to be enjoyed individually or collectively. Residents were each provided with their own studio apartment to foster ownership and basic living skills, while sharing a larger communal kitchen and living space to generate social skills and a sense of community.
